Maxi-Cosi is well known for its robust, comfortable car seats but now it's branching out and has just announced the arrival of its first pushchair, the Mura.
We experienced this latest offering from Maxi-Cosi back in September at the Kind + Jugend show in Cologne and we certainly liked what we saw! You can expect the usual comfort and innovation from this car seat expert, and all combined with striking fabrics and great design to form a stylish new stroller. The Mura can be used from birth to four years and offers the option of a three or four-wheeled pushchair.
Both versions can be folded easily with handle-based buttons. There is a 'basic' fold or alternatively you can use the more compact fold if required for storage. The wheels can also be removed.
Compatible with the CabrioFix car seat, the Maxi-Cosi Mura also features a reversible seat unit and shopping bag along with an under-stroller shopping basket.
The seat itself is not dissimilar to a car seat (although it does fold flat!) and is soft and shaped for comfort. It also has a safety harness and a 't-bar' handle which can be adjusted to three different heights.
The Mura will be available in three colours which co-ordinate with the CabrioFix car seat: Atlantic Slice, Flamingo Slice and Grey Slice.
Accessories (sold separately) include a 'soft-pram body' carrycot (£69.99), a rigid carrycot (£125) and a hooded footmuff.
Retailing at £280 for the 3-wheeler and £300 for the 4-wheeler, it will be available to buy in the UK from January 2008.
