Bug in a Rug Winter Wraps

Bug in a Rug cold weather wraps

A flexible baby snuggle that covers baby's head, arms and legs
Not really much to fault.
Features: Lightweight material that doesn't overheat, despite being able to cover baby's head and feet. Available in fleece or with a water resistant cover for extreme weather. Three sizes (0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-12 months). Extreme Version also comes in 12-18 months.
Price: £21.99 (Extreme £27.99)

The concept:
The Bug In A Rug has the reassuring presence of a snuggly blanket, with the fitted hood and feet of a baby's outdoor coat. It's a simple but versatile idea and it works really well. After all, it's not easy to get layers of clothes on and off for the car, shops, etc when they feel hot and cold, so something you can keep wrapped up or have loosely round your baby is really useful.

The Original Fleece version is light but warm and can easily roll up to fit in your bag. The Extreme Version is not that much more bulky but has a navy blue waterproof and wind-resistant outer layer and has a soft warm lining in red, white or pink.

In action:
If you don't want the bulk of a footmuff on your pushchair or think an all-in-one outfit will be too warm for your baby, these are great. Babies love their cosiness and older infants feel like they're getting a cuddle!
They wash well and dry quickly (ideal after spilt milk or other 'accidents') and the Extreme Version is light but protective. Our only wish was that they went up to bigger sizes, maybe with the hood and the wrap but without the legs in. My six-year-old wants one!

The ThinkBaby verdict

Flexible, snuggly and an instant hit with babies!
Portability/storage: 5/5
Usability: 5/5
