MotherEase Rikki Nappy (from £8.50) |
Judging by the enthusiastic response we usually get to our articles on real nappies, we have the impression at lot of you ThinkBaby types are quite
into your green issues.
Although not all of us can swear to being 100 per cent earth-friendly in our lives, having a baby certainly makes us feel more aware of the world's
resources. Thus, companies like Little Green Earthlets have really blossomed in the past few years.
Little Green Earthlets are a mail order company who sell organically produced clothes, play things and nappies, as well as practical everyday nursery
items. Their new catalogue is full of useful ideas for house, home and baby, including their usual range of real nappies and accessories.

Heat Sensitive Non-Slip Bath Appliques (£3.99) |
They are very excited about the Moltex Eco Disposable Nappies they are now selling for only a little more than most mainstream non-biodegradable
disposables.
We here at ThinkBaby particularly love the Jackson Reece Herbal Baby Wipes which contain aloe vera and tea tree oil, but are alcohol free (£2.29
for a pack of 80 wipes), and the Mother-ease real nappies like the Rikki ones which come in all kinds of patterns, and start at £8.50.
We think the Heat Sensitive Non-Slip Bath Appliques - cute blue
stickers for the bottom of your bath - are a great idea. You get 12 fishy stickers (whales, starfish and shells) for £3.99, and they don't ruin your bath.
They're practical but also make a sweet little baby shower pressie.

Playmais
(from £3.99) |
For toddlers, they have lots of great toys - nature toys, insect kits and so much more - including Playmais: a kind of play putty that is 100 per cent
biodegradable and can even been chucked on the compost when you've finished with it! It is made from non-modified maize and dyed with food
colouring, and it can be pasted, rolled, cut, shaped or ripped up by little model makers. It costs £3.99 for 100 bricks and up to £12.50 for 1000
bricks. It's not suitable for children under three, presumably because they might be tempted to eat it!
There are lots of lovely ideas and products in the new catalogue, and many of the items get cheaper if you bulk order. You can check them out at www.earthlets.co.uk, or call 0845 072 4462.
