Organix Rusks
When you are thinking of first finger foods to give to your child, you also have to think about whether or not your child is teething.

As well as the pleasure of having something he can control himself, your child will enjoy the new sensation against his gums. But even if his teeth haven't appeared yet, it is still important to keep him off sweet snacks that will not only develop a taste for sugary treats but can also allow decay to set in at an early age.

In the past, many children's biscuits have either been too hard, too dry or contained additives like sugar which are simply unnecessary.
Hooray then, for the new Organic Soft Rusk from the organic baby food company Organix. Naturally sweetened with fruit and made from wholegrain wheat instead of processed flour, the Soft Rusk is an enjoyable finger food that sets up good eating habits from day one.
Packed as two rusks per mini-bag, they are good for traveling and won't go stale as quickly as larger packs when you have a slow-eating baby on your hands.
If your child is under ten months, Organix suggest you might want to break up the rusks and mix them with as much or as little of your baby's milk as you like to make a breakfast cereal, without the dangerous salt levels that normal everyday cereals contain.

Organix do other finger foods and their aim is always to pack as much good nutrition into their baby foods as possible.
The Organic Soft Rusks are available at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Asda and Morrisons and have an RRP of £1.69 for a pack of 12 rusks (as six mini-packs).
