If you have ever been tempted over to the cotton side of baby life, then Real Nappy Week could be the event that tips you over the edge into greener living!

Real Nappy Week, March 11 to 18, 2007
Organised by the Womens' Environmental Network and funded by WRAP (the Waste and Resources Action Programme), Real Nappy Week is in its eleventh year of campaigning to get more parents to try greener solutions for daily living.

There are lots of themed events around the UK this week, so for more information about what's happening near you, go to www.wen.org.uk.

ThinkBaby and real nappies
Here on ThinkBaby, we'll be celebrating through the week with links to articles about the pros and cons of real nappies, how to keep your baby's bottom rash-free, what to expect from your newborn's bowel movements*, and other related articles including a good excuse to "ooh" and "ahh" at some of the nicest changing bags around.

On the forums and through our articles and members' polls, we have found enthusiastic interest and support for real nappies, so we hope you find it all interesting. With funky companies like BabyKind and Nappy Nature around, it's so easy now to try real nappies for your child, and still keep him comfortable and snazzy-looking!

*If you haven't had your baby yet, being obsessed with bowel movements might seem strange, but believe us, the contents of a soiled nappy quickly becomes fascinating conversation!
