The one item of clothing many pregnant women hanker after is the perfect pair of jeans.
The way jeans fit your body is such a personal thing, but even the baggiest of jeans cannot cope with the way your bump starts to grow, and while you might get away with undoing a couple of buttons at first, those beloved trousers soon get consigned to the back of the wardrobe until you've had your baby… or even longer!

Hooray, then, that most maternitywear companies now offer a pair of pregnancy jeans in their collections. And double hooray for Blooming Marvellous, who have several different styles in theirs!

The two women behind maternitywear company Blooming Marvellous - Judy and Vivienne - were originally inspired to start up the company specifically because they failed to find stylish, well-tailored pregnancy jeans themselves, hence the passion for denim now.
They have experimented with various shapes to find what works and how many different looks they could cater for. The result is eight different styles of jean, two of which come in three different lengths. Now that's what we call obsessive…
From bootleg to cropped, under-the-bump to shorts, their different styles also come in many finishes, from distressed to stretch, dark wash to feathering. Plus, their sizes range from 8 to 18.

These days you can get designer jeans for the price of a brand new buggy, and you can get cheap and cheerful jeans on the high street, but we think the passion for jeans that Blooming Marvellous have suits many a pregnant tom boy and girl about town perfectly.
