Launched for National Organic Dairy Week, Rachel's Organic have linked with children's recipe author Annabel Karmel to create a handy book of meal ideas. Although parents these days are aware of the potential for childhood allergies, the vast majority of their children are not allergic to dairy products, which in themselves are a rich source of the valuable calcium children need to grow.
Tasty dairy treats
The other appeal of most dairy products is that they have appealing yet mild tastes, ideal for a budding palate. And here's where Annabel Karmel comes in…
Karmel has, for many years, written cook books with recipes that children love. Some are clever ways to subtly get extra vegetables into seemingly plain meals for fussy eaters, others are meals you can prepare with your kids which increase any child's enthusiasm to widen his or her eating interests, others are wonderful new tastes for all the family to enjoy together.
Here she has worked with one of Britain's leading organic dairy producers, the Welsh company Rachel's Organic. Using their ingredients as a starting point - yoghurts, milk, butter and so on - Karmel has come up with some yummy, fun meals and treats that are also healthy and full of organic nutrition.
