Having had a major success with their 'from four months' range of baby foods, Plum, makers of great organic baby foods, are launching a new range suitable for slightly older weaners (from seven months, or 'stage two').
The new meals are still made from 100 per cent organic superfood ingredients, but they have a slightly more 'lumpy' texture than the smooth, mashed foods most parents like to give to their baby when trying first foods.
Susie Willis, the creator of Plum, has developed three new dishes:
Carrot, lentil and cheddar is a tasty source of protein that's suitable for vegetarians as well as meat-eating babies.
French bean with beef and apple is an all-organic meat stew.
Sweet potato with lamb and carrot offers lots of milder flavours that stil combine for a tasty supper.
The foods are available from this month (July 2007) in Boots, Ocado (Waitrose online), Waitrose, Sainsburys, and independent health food outlets. The twin-packs of two 100g jars have an RRP of £2.29-£2.49.
