Why is merino wool so good?
As well as being incredibly soft and light, making it comfortable against a baby's new skin and easy to move in, merino wool is naturally breathable. This creates a 'microclimate' around your child, so her body is never too warm or cold, especially useful in weather when a warm bedroom gets colder during the middle of the night. Additionally, the wool more easily absorbs moisture, should a nappy leak, for example, so your baby does not 'sit' in the wet for too long.
Merino wool is also naturally fire resistant, so it does not need to be treated with chemicals to meet safety standards when the sleeping bag is being made.
