When we were browsing the Boden autumn/winter fashion preview a few months ago, we saw the usual funky designs, great tailoring and snazzy clothing ideas for kids. But what really caught our collective ThinkBaby eye was the distinctly tiny garments over in one corner. Yes, Boden have a new baby range!

With many of the items only just available this month, the Baby Boden range is completely new. No longer are the baby clothes simply a limited downsized version of highlights from the Mini Boden range (for children), instead these are tailored clothes designed to make your baby comfortable, cool-looking and quite possibly the best dressed person in the house.
Quality and reliability
Boden aren't the cheapest clothing company on the block, but they compare favourably with mid-range names like BabyGap.
Clothes are made in natural fibres and wash extremely well. (Having had two 'Mini Boden' kids myself I can vouch for this - only last week I was giving clothes still vibrant in colour and soft to touch to the charity shop, and those clothes have been through a lot of wearing and many washes!)
On items for smaller children and babies, poppers and side-buttons make getting the clothes on and off really easy, yet the designs are bright and colourful rather than looking like bedtime cot-wear.

Autumn/Winter 07 with Baby Boden
Spots, florals, stripes and jolly appliqué pictures bring the range of daywear to life. The T-shirts for example, come with cartoony images of pigs, sheep, cats, a skull and crossbones or a boat, and the velvet party dress comes in brown with pink spots or turquoise with brown spots.
Though boys might tend towards blues and girls love their pinks, Boden always breaks out of the cliches to give you a few alternatives to suit either sex.
Hooded, soft woollen jackets and beautifully-finished knitted cardies offer great autumn-wear and gently-tailored coats and trousers, and the baby hat and mitten sets will keep out the cold come winter.
If you're looking for sleepsuits with a difference, their dinosaur print for boys and their retro floral print for girls are a great choice. And if you prefer a more classic infant look, the gentle floral design of the babycord ruffle shirt in 'pink autumn sprig' or 'blue autumn sprig' adds a touch of grace to any little outfit.
