The concept
Designed to give the manoeuvrability of a three-wheeler and the stability of a four-wheeler, the Neo has a unique Y-shaped axle. The seat unit, carrycot and car seat can all be slotted into place with ease, either forward or parent-facing. This is a high quality, innovative system.
In action
The chassis folds and unfolds simply, and locks in place for ease of carrying. Just pressing a button in the handle of the carrycot releases it from the frame, so there's no danger of waking junior as you traverse from car to pushchair to home.
The rain cover is zipped away in a bag under the buggy seat, and there's a spacious pocket at the back of the hood for essential items. There appear to be zips everywhere; my favourite was on the bumper bar, where you'll find a handily-stowed wind protector for your baby's legs, ideal if the weather turns unexpectedly chilly. The handle is adjustable and nicely padded, and the brakes are real shoe savers - step on red to stop and green to go.
Benefits
This whole system feels luxurious and great quality, and is a pleasure to push. All of the fabrics (there's a choice of five colourways) are washable, and it seems that no detail has been overlooked. The seat is quite high, perfect if you want your baby to accompany you to cafés, and the footrest is adjustable to five different positions.
Drawbacks
The only thing that's missing is a basket underneath, although this would undeniably spoil the sleek lines of the chassis. It feels quite big, in use, but folds down much smaller than many other buggies of similar size.
