We've really got to like the Chicco in the few months we've been using it, and can't really fault its performance. As a traditional bouncer it does what you would expect, with several seating position adjustments for when your baby becomes more curious and wants to sit up, look around and be reassured by the rocking motion. The straps are secure and the bouncer seems solid and hard-wearing.
Importantly, the various chair positions are easy to change between, with a single action mechanism, and the mechanics seem robust. Compared to other bouncers we've used the Chicco Look LX is big on comfort, and Alexander is as happy as the proverbial Larry in it.
Being able to use the chair as a feeding chair, in the fully upright and locked position, is a big bonus for the early days of solids. It's a feature we've become used to in the past and wouldn't consider a bouncer without that option now. What marks the Chicco out more however, is the fully-flat position. This is great for when your baby wants to nap during the day, but when you want to have him near you, in whatever room you're in. As the bouncer is so easy to carry round it gets plenty of use for this purpose whereas before we had the bouncer we would have put him down in bed for a nap.
In terms of looks the bouncer is smart, bright and colourful. You can get the Look LX in several colour schemes. The regular blue is nice and fresh, but you can also choose from the sand tones of the 'Sahara', the sunny yellow of 'Carnival' or the sky blue of 'Giraffe', to name but a few. There are no musical bells and whistles with this chair, so if you want the kind of bouncer that doubles up as a music entertainment centre you'll have to look elsewhere.
