Book review: Gina Ford Lullabies

Gina Ford: Lullabies for Contented Little Babies

Soft images of animals and stars to lull your baby off to sleep
This is a lovely baby's rhymes book but the link with Gina Ford isn't hugely obvious at first
Price: £8.99
Contact: Random House

When you first look at this sweet little collection fo lullabies, you might wonder why it is credited to Gina Ford. After all, the lullabies are traditional: 'Rock-a-bye Baby', 'Dance to your Daddy', 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' and so on.
However, the expert who has written many books on sleep routines, feeding advice and other aspects of new parenting has selected music and songs for a CD to accompany the book, which she feels especially suits to the soothing needed at bedtime. The CD is neatly stowed inside the front cover.

Sanja Rescek's illustrations add a comforting visual appeal whether you are listening to the CD as well, or just using the book as a bedtime read with your child.

The ThinkBaby verdict

Soothing sounds and pretty pictures to share with your little sleepyhead.
Quality: 4/5
Illustrations: 4/5
Value:4/5
