A well-priced travel system that is comfortable for newborns and toddlers alike
As with most travel systems, it is bulky when folded, so make sure you have a large car boot!
Features: Suitable from birth, car seat included (Britax Cosy Tot Premium, which can be clicked into place to make a travel system, or used alone), back pocket on hood can be removed for use as a bag, sun canopy and rain cover both included
Price: around £259
Weight: 12.5kg, car seat 3.5kg
Handle: 93-110cm
Dimensions: Folded: L60x W95x H38cm. Open: L109xW62xH110cm.

Britax Voyaga Ultra travel system

The concept:
Four-wheel travel systems have gone a little out of fashion. Partly because people tend towards three-wheelers, partly because many funky makes like Bugaboo like to go for the make-up-your-own-kit approach to building a pram, buggy etc, partly because thinking now says you shouldn't leave your child in their car seat for long periods of time.
HOWEVER… the travel system is a useful one-stop pushchair you can use from birth as a high seat facing you (with the car seat clicked easily in), a pram (the chair usually folds up to create a lay-flat pram-type base), and a pushchair until a child is ready to walk alone.
The price and versatility of this Britax model - especially given that it includes a newborn (to approx 12 months) car seat - suddenly make the travel system an appealing and cost-effective option once again.

In action:
Even if you rarely use the car seat clicked into the top, getting your car seat and pram/pushchair in one go has to be appealing to busy, cash-strapped parents-to-be. The style of this model also aims to give the cool 3-in-1s twice its price a run for their money.
The wheels are lockable and the ride is well suspended for an easy, bouncey ride. The adjustable handle height range (93-110cm) makes it great for all adults likely to push it around.

It's an easy travel system to fit together, and the option to use the car seat with a normal seatbelt or an Isofix fitting (you'd need to buy the Isofix bit for your car seat seperately) makes it all the more appealing.
It's not a small beast when it's folded down, but travel systems like this come into their own in those first few months, before you child starts demanding books and toys that need to travel with you, so make the most of that.
Plus, the lay-flat options and its solid feel (and huge basket underneath) make it a bit of a 'hub' for all your shopping trips, outtings, and even those times when you're at home and your baby just wants a quick nap downstairs (no need to lug out the Moses basket from the bedroom).

The ThinkBaby verdict

A one-stop-shop buggy option with car seat and pram setting thrown in.
Performance: 4/5
Value: 4/5
