Foods you can eat in pregnancy!

What’s safe and what should you avoid when hitting those Christmas gatherings in pregnancy? Well, there are actually plenty of festive foods you can enjoy when pregnant, and a few it pays to avoid.

Don’t worry if you eat something accidentally – the risk of food poisoning is small. But as a mum-to-be, you’re more susceptible due to changes to your immune system, and the consequences can be long-term. If you’re not sure how food has been prepared, ask, or play it safe and avoid it.

Try not to forget healthy eating at Christmas. Your baby still needs you to eat well and have plenty of fruit and veg. New Year isn’t a time for detox or diets if you’re pregnant but you can enjoy a little chocolate and other festive goodies!
