It’s vital to get folic acid into your body during the first trimester to help protect your baby against spina bifida.
Christmas dinner favourites, brussels sprouts are a great source of folic acid so add them to your daily veg count. However, do note that you’ll need to take a folic acid supplement as well to make sure you get enough.
