Midwives from Tommy’s charity will be holding pregnancy and new mum Q&As and information sessions in branches of Asda supermarkets tomorrow, July 29. The experts will be on hand to help close the “pregnancy information gap” that new research by Tommy’s has uncovered.
The research revealed that over 20% of mums-to-be feel in the dark about what to expect in the first half of their pregnancy. Over half felt there was a lack if information available.
“The first few months of pregnancy can be the most exciting and awe-inspiring times of any woman’s life, but can also be the most exhausting and worrying,” explained Tommy’s midwife, Annette Briley.
These “Let’s Talk Baby” sessions will be held in the cafés of participating Asda stores between 6.30pm and 8pm. They will include information on pregnancy, birth, being a new mum and give advice on care and breastfeeding. To find out if a store near you is participating, visit Tommy’s.
