Following in the footsteps of the DayTripper, BabBing! have created the feature-packed DayHiker backpack, built for the modern father with a yearning for the great outdoors.

If you’re heading for the hills, you want a pack that’s going to be comfortable, and with well-padded shoulder straps, ergonomic chest straps and ample padding for the back, this certainly fits the bill. Unzip and go inside and you’ll find dummy hangers, nappy, wipe and food pouches (all labelled, of course) and a detachable insulated bottle holder. Delve a little deeper for the internal supersize changing mat, then spot the easy-clean soil pocket at the base, and you’ll see it really is a changing bag worthy of the name. All you have to do is remember to fill it with the relevant paraphernalia…

One of its best features is the fact that it has clever clips so you can attach the RollOut Travel Mat. Now, as the proud owner of several picnic blankets that came free with the purchase of ‘not just any picnic food’, I didn’t think I’d feel the need to pay for such a thing again. But this is definitely worth the money.
The black outer is water resistant and rolls out to reveal a soft fleecy lining, which handily unzips for machine washing. And there are helpful numbers and arrows to help you fold it back up again (no origami required).
And if it’s not attached to the backpack, there’s a satisfyingly chunky handle to swing it around by. Just the thing for the beach, picnics in the park, trips to the in-laws, anywhere in fact.

So, venture forth safe in the knowledge that your wee one’s every need is taken care of. The DayHiker Backpack is £50 and the RollOut Travel Mat is £20.
