When TV presenter Alice Beer discovered she was having twins, she knew she had to be prepared. However, even when you are braced for chaos, the double-trouble factor can really kick in. This was when Beer found out just how valuable Gina Ford's feeding and sleeping routines could be.
Here, Gina Ford brings her experience as a consultant to many parents of twins, as well as her own ideas on strict feeding times etc, to the table, whilst Alice Beer adds a valuable voice of personal experience.
Following along the lines of her 'Contented Little Baby' books, Ford here outlines very defined times (literally a timetable) for how to keep two new babies fed and rested. The timetable shifts as the babies get older, and the clear text means that parents who find this routine-based way of caring for newborns an essential support tool, won't be left in the lurch as their children grow and needs change.
An easy read
Gina Ford's books are always full of personal stories to bring the experiences to life, and here, Beer's voice helps carry the reader along.
Chapters on equipment for bottle feeding and expressing, and ideas on bonding are amongst the many practical words of advice on offer.
