Father's Day is This Sunday!

New dads, old dads, grandads, dads-to-be – they all need a bit of recognition once in a while, just like us mums do…

Here on ThinkBaby we always like to make a fuss of Mother's Day even if you're still a mum-to-be, so it seems only fair to champion Father's Day, too. This year it's on Sunday June 15 - this coming weekend! There isn't much time but you can still solve those gift ideas in store or online, so here are a few ideas…

Boden for Men
We love Baby Boden, Mini Boden and Boden for Women, but don't forget the founder of this popular mail order company is a bloke! Yes, in the past decade, Johnnie B himself has dragged mail-order clothes shopping out of its ’70s naffness and actually made it a funky experience.
You really can't go wrong with socks – almost every chap needs them (unless he's Robinson Crusoe) – and this jolly three-pack for £22 makes a functional essential into a jolly gift.
Or how about a classy silk scarf (various colours, £35 each), or a three-pack of flowery boxer shorts (£39)? OK, so most men don't like to get too flashy, but one would hope it's only you and him who are going to see these in all their floral splendour!

Everyman Charity Dad Badges
For a cute little trinket that also raises valuable funds for charity, try the Everyman pin badges available at all branches of Debenhams.
Designed like old-fashioned badges you used to get at school, they come in five different designs: 'Top Dad', 'Captain', 'Prefect', 'The Old Man' and our favourite, 'Head Boy'.

They come with a suggested donation price of £1, but you can give more if you want as it's all raising funds for important work carried out by the Institute of Cancer Research on prostate and testicular cancer – diseases which affect around 37,000 men in the UK every year.

Dan Dare Treats for your Superhero
OK, so dads don't actually have to go through the pain of childbirth, but they do come in pretty handy for lots of other superheroic duties like nappy changing, going on the midnight drive to get baby off to sleep, etc. So check out the lovely series of Dan Dare-themed goodies from the Science Museum, including T-shirts featuring the square-jawed Mr Dare himself. The T-shirts come in child and adult sizes (up to XL 44-46-inch chest), in black and white.
If some days you think your husband behaves more like an alien, they do also have Mekon T-shirts…
