Frugi: breastfeeding in style
Look great in cool clothes designed especially for breastfeeding

You may already be familiar with Frugi’s gorgeous organic cotton clothes for babies and children, now they’re sparing the blushes of breastfeeding mothers – and making them feel fab in the process.
Frugi feeding fashions
The seed of the idea was first sown when founder Lucy accidentally exposed herself after feeding her first baby – and she swore that she would prevent any further embarrassment! Designed to enable discreet breastfeeding (without showing off acres of post-baby belly!), the tops and dresses are cut to flatter that ‘in-between’ body, with ties at the back so they can be easily adjusted to fit and flatter.
The Scoop Neck Kaftan, £40, and the Tieback Tee, £29.99, both have a cunning double-layer system; the under layer has vertical openings for quick and easy access without exposing your tummy to the world.
The Diva Dress, £54.99, meanwhile, has a panel across the bust that can be quickly and easily lifted when baby’s hungry. All three styles are gathered under the bust then flare out, so there’s no fabric clinging to the bits you don’t want the world to see.
And the styles are very much in keeping with what’s on the high street – in fact, your non-breastfeeding friends may even ask you where you got your clothes…
The Scoop Neck Kaftan and Diva Dress comes in two colour ways, a pretty Boho Blossom print and black, either of which can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion, while the Tieback Tee is available in dusky blue or pebble, both perfect for a casual look.
As with all Frugi’s clothing, they are made from organically grown cotton and ethically manufactured. Frugi belongs to 1% For The Planet, giving 1% of their turnover (whether or not they make a profit) to charity.
They were also awarded Ethical Consumer magazine’s top Ethiscore for clothing in 2008.
