Baby Channel shopping
Not content with dedicated programming for parents and children, new kid on the block Baby Channel is adding teleshopping and online shopping to its portfolio.
From the beginning of next year the channel will have three hours of QVC-style TV shopping for baby-related products. A TV interface will allow viewers to buy featured products from the store through their TV, or they can go to the Baby Channel's website and buy online.
It's a move that not everyone will welcome, but it's a logical step by the channel.
More interesting is Baby Channel's link up with existing online retailer twoleftfeet.co.uk to fulfil the retail side of the equation. twoleftfeet will be responsible for fulfilling all Baby Channel orders, whether placed through interactive TV or online.
