Review: Dream Tubes for Safe Toddler Sleeping

Perfect for young children who need a barrier to stop them rolling out of bed, Dream Tubes are a soft and easy alternative to a bed bumper

Dream Tubes for Safe Toddler Sleeping When your child is old enough to sleep in a bed rather than a cot, you may well want to use a bed bumper to prevent him rolling out of bed when he's asleep. Bed bumpers aren't particularly long, but in order to act safely, they are heavily anchored to the bed when in place and can be cumbersome to climb over for you - if you like to snuggle and read stories together at bedtime, or when changing bed clothes.
That's why we love the much more gentle shape and feel of Dusky Moon's new Dream Tubes, which are safe but less obtrusive, and which fit into the body of the bedding. They're especially good for travelling because they're compact and light.

Dream Tubes for safe toddler nighttimes
Designed as a sheet (which covers any single bed), there are two side panels into which you zip one or both of the inflatable tubes. These tubes inflate and deflate in seconds so there's no fuss if you're using the sheet on a bed with only one side exposed (eg if the other side is up against the bedroom wall) or if you need to add the second tube because there is a danger your child could fall out on either side.
This flexibility is great when you are perhaps away from your home and need to improvise protection without having to buy an extra bumper. And being able to take the Dream Tubes with you means your child has a safe familiar environment wherever he may be sleeping.
The sheet and tubes are really easy to put together in a minute or two and even though the tubes zip into the sheet, there are no scratchy fittings which would make bedtime uncomfortable for your child.

Safe and easy to use
The Dream Tubes set costs £40 for the sheet and tubes.
Dream Tubes conform to the British Safety Standard BS7972 for children's bed guards. It's really easy to wash the cotton sheet, and you can buy a spare sheet for £25.
The whole package folds down into a slim carrycase making it discreet to take with you anywhere.

The Dream Tubes set and spare single sheet are both available from www.hippychick.com.
