Once upon a time (well, about five years ago), Storksak were the new kids on the changing bag block. Now they are seriously established, with the confidence that comes when your bags are seen out and about with Hollywood A-listers and their babies…
Now, any wannabe Brad or Angelina opts for the top end of the changing bag market and what they get in return is a genuinely great quality changing bag that has a life long after your kid is out of nappies.
If you're the kind of person who rarely snags a new bag for less than £100, then your new-parent bag is not going to be any different, and Storksak understand that. Designs are funky and contemporary rather than purely functional or babyish, and details like the space to carry a laptop – as well as waterproof pockets and a place to keep the feeding bottle warm – show that Storksak understand their busy-parent customer only too well.
For spring/summer 2009, once again there are some great designs for dads as well as mums.
We love the bold red Jess satchel style (£75) which looks retro and girlishly fun. There is also the lean, simple yet classy shape of the Suzi (£80).
Check out the vibrant Claire rucksak (£88), pictured above middle right, in Tomato. This is a great modern answer to the changing bag and perfect for any age of parent, mum or dad!
However, the serious Storksak fan wil be looking at the more flashy end of the range, to the solidly stylish Elizabeth and Emily styles. The Emily - already popular in plain colours – gets a floral makeover with the Bloom design (pictured top left hand, in charcoal Bloom, but also available in sand Bloom). The Elizabeth (pictured above middle left, in Rococo) is great option when you need a larger bag for all your new-family gumph.
Both the Emily and Elizabeth styles are £185 and both come in the Bloom or Rococo fabrics.
