'FANTASTIC INVESTMENT!'
Strengths:
- Nighlight is great as it keeps the room slightly lit which helps my little boy go to sleep.
- Temperature feature is also great as our central heating is a bit hit and miss and sometimes baby's room ends up being colder/hotter than the room we are sleeping in.
- Sound sensitive feature on this is excellent as we put a Lullaby's CD on to put him to sleep at night and we don't get woken up unless baby makes a noise.
Weaknesses:
None from me!
Overall:
I haven't found anything to fault this by. We started putting our little boy in his own room from 2 weeks old and have only done so after getting a reliable monitor. We do live in a semi-rural location so this maybe why we don't get any interference. Although, if the baby unit has just been turned off the parent unit does get a fuzzing noise just before it beeps to tell you that the baby monitor is out of reach, switched off or the batteries are low - but I would say this is a good thing rather than a bad. All in all I think this is a fantastic investment and would highly recommend.

'DOES THE JOB'
Strengths:
Nightlight and temperature make this really useful
light display as well as sound
Weaknesses:
length of wire on baby unit - it doesn't stretch very far
Overall:
Have to confess I don't have any experience of other monitors and havent tested out the range much (we only live in a 2 bed apartment) but it does the job and I use it as a nightlight (baby is in our room and i can breastfeed in the night without switching the lights on)and to keep an eye on the room temperature.

'LOTS OF FEATURES MAKE THIS REALLY USEFUL.'
Strengths:
My friend has got this one. I had a more simple Tomy one for our son btu I like this one because it's useful to knwo room temperatures when your baby is little and you're nto used to what is safe yet.
Weaknesses:
Sounds like Louise had a bad experience. I think the Tomy ones have good reception but maybe I just live in a low interference area.
Overall:
If you can afford a posh monitor this one has lots of nice features. otherwise the more simple Tomy ones are fine in my experience.

'RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH'
Strengths:
none, zip, nothing, nowt
Weaknesses:
The temperature gage always says its much hotter than it really is, they switch themselves off, the signal is awful, even if you're only in the next room. Interference is so annoying that you just feel like bringing your baby into bed with you so that you can switch them off. For the money, they are soooooooooo not worth it.
Overall:
I got these monitors as a replacement for some cheaper Tomy monitors that were just as bad quality. I thought, that because i was paying more, the quality would be much better. These monitors are £70 and you may aswell just get £70 out of your purse and throw it down the toilet and listen to the radio that isnt tuned in, as that is what these monitors sound like. Invest in the video monitors, they are much better and have fantastic quality pictures for an extra £30.
