'NOT QUITE THERE'
Strengths:
It tries to do all the right things, but just is not comfortable enough for the adult to use for extended periods/ with kids over 4 months old (due to their weight)
Weaknesses:
as above
Overall:
Better than so much of the market - but if you are going to buy a good one go for the BabyBjorn Active or Bushbaby Cocoon

'FANTASTIC TIME FREE-ER'
Strengths:
Very versatile, baby loves it, secure, comfy
Weaknesses:
Thick side straps obstruct baby's view when very young, Takes a couple of goes to get the hang of putting it on. Not fast to take off.
Overall:
Like other carriers, a great way of having baby next to you ut leaving you 'hands-free' to put on the washer, walk around or eat!

The flexibility of the Wilkinet comes at the cost of being a bit fiddly when compared to clip-in slings. The wilki wraps around your body and ties in numerous position options. Quick to get the hang of putting it on, gettiing it off quickly is another matter: it's definitely more cumbersome to remove than clip carriers, which can be annoying if your baby is crying to get out.

Overall I'd strongly recommend this product - so far it makes a huge difference to my day and the amount I can get done.

'THE BEST BABY PRODUCT WE BOUGHT'
Strengths:
Very comfy for mother and baby. Natural sitting position for baby. Endorsed by physios and active birth teachers. Range of colours
Weaknesses:
People talk about learning to put it on... but we picked it up straigt away
Overall:
Our first baby hated to be put down and was very colicky at night. She would happily sleep for hours in the Wilkinet which was a blessed relief (especially as it doesn't pull on your shoulders like some other carriers). Once she was big enough to face out she loved that too (same with our second son).

'NOT FOR ME..'
Strengths:
Padded shoulder straps and variety of colours.
Weaknesses:
Tricky to put on and never felt very secure. Takes a few goes to get hang of putting it on.
Overall:
Most people think this is great but it just wasn't for me unfortunately! I really wanted to love it but didn't. I found putting it on really quite tricky and confusing, and needed another person to help me. It never felt particularly secure on me. My husband seemed to be fine with it but with our second baby we bought a Babybjorn baby carrier, and I far prefer it. I like the fact that I can put the Babybjorn on and then put the baby in it, rather than having to lie the baby on the Wilkinet and then somehow get it to my chest!
