'GOOD BUY FOR THE MONEY BUT NOT A LONG-TERM SEAT'
Strengths:
Very reasonably priced (relatively)
Well built and solid
Comforatble for my daughter, well padded with high sides
Secure and easy to use
Long handle makes carrying easier and is fine to adjust once you've worked it out
Washable covers
reasonably lightweight
Weaknesses:
Didn't last as long as advertised (to 15 months) as daughter outgrew it at about 11 months, but I was ready to move her into a forward-facing seat by then anyway.
Initial difficulty adjusting handle.
Overall:
I bought this seat thinking it would do Caroline from birth to 15 months as advertised, but it didn't as she outgrew it by 11 months. I'm sure that this varies from baby to baby but I didn't think she was particularly big. It didn't really matter though as by then she was too heavy to carry around in it anyway and I was wanting to move her into a forward-facing seat.

I also didn't mind too much as this was a rather reasonably priced car seat compared to a lot of the others on offer. If it hadn't been from Britax I wouldn't have trusted the price. Oh, I should say that I don't have the 2005 model, I've got the 2003 or 2004 one, not sure which but it cost me about £50. I could easily have spent twice as much.
I've washed the covers a couple of times and they look fine.

My only niggle with the seat is that it took a little while to get the hand of the handle lock, but once done all was fine.

This was a good seat when I wanted to carry Caro around with me in the early months and when she was awake and wanted to be seeing what I was doing so the carrycot wasn't suitable.

All in all a good buy that I would recommend. Just don't expect to be able or want to use the seat until 15 months.
