 | | | Posted: 29/07/08 | | 'GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY' | | Strengths: It very sturdy, my 2 year old has used this from birth and has always looked very comfortable in it, shopping basket is a very good size | | Weaknesses: It's very big folded up, and a bit heavy, i found it difficult to get in and out the car, and if this is in my boot i can't fit much else in there asit so big | | Overall: It great for being out and about, i love pushing it around, its very sturdy, easy to move around, i found i used it more when i didn't use my car that much, but now im always driving around i ended up buying a smaller puchchair, as this travel system is to big and heavy and takes up alot of room in the boot of my car |

 | | | Posted: 02/07/07 | | 'A GREAT BUY AT £229.99 FROM MOTHERCARE' | | Strengths: Looks great, folds down well (compared to some of the other brands)we didn't find it that heavy, and because of the handle on the side easy to lift in and out of the boot. All the gadgets you would expect on a delux model. Very solid frame and is very user friendly. The larger wheels give you more options as to where you wish to go out for the day. | | Weaknesses: The car seat hood does get in the way when moving the handle back and forth. | | Overall: Great value for money at £229.99. |

 | | | Posted: 27/02/07 Updated: 03/05/07 | | 'An 'all in one' system with lots of extras but heavy & bulky' | | Strengths: Comes with everything you need to start with; Carrycot Aprons Carseat Changing bag Head huggers/newborn inserts Seat pads Play tray and parent tray
Also has a large shopping basket which can store a fair few bags.
Is quite well padded for baby's comfort.
Seems durable.
Has a parent tray with clock and temperature gauge on aswell as cup holders. | | Weaknesses: Half of the extras that it comes with will never get used! The hood on the carseat got in the way so we ended up taking it off. The carseat apron isn't meant to be used for when travelling in the car and as babies aren't meant to be in carseats at any other time, this item is pointless!
The changing bag is small and there is no zip or button or velcro to keep it closed.
The carrycot is small and therefore doesn't last as long as you'd hope or expect.
Shopping basket is hard to get in to when the travel system is used as a pram 9with carrycot) and doesn't collapse for access easily.
It is heavy and bulky. No good for use on public transport, especially if you rely on that method of getting around and don't have 'leaning' buses or access to trains.
Fabric gets caught when changing seat positions.
Doesn't fit well in small cars (ie, have to take parcel shelf off to get it in and then you can't get much shopping in the boot when it's in there).
Takes a while to get the hang of the 'one handed' folding. | | Overall: A good value travel system that comes with everything, whether you need it and will use it, or not!
Durable enough for shopping or country walks although a bit 'rattley' on concrete pavements.
Ideal as a walking pram or if you have a big enough car but if you have a small car or travel by public transport, then this is not for you.
I didn't do much research and just picked this pram as it was the 'best looking' in the Mothercare catalogue last year. If you are considering this pram then go and test drive it first! Push it, carry it, lift it, fold it, check it out and make sure it's exactly what you're looking for. Otherwise, like me, you'll end up on the hunt for something else 4 months down the line! |
