Mums-to-be in Scotland respond well to NHS scheme offering cash rewards for staying off cigarettes
with the money that may otherwise be spent on cigarettes.Smoking while pregnant causes low birth weights and has been linked to a number of illnesses. As well as cash, women were offered social support and nicotine replacement therapy which saw 18% still smoke
