Hi I just found out this morning that i have gestational diabetes and the internet had so much conflicting advice its already doing my head in!are there any other ladies on this site who have this too? i could really use some advice as i am a bit

HiI was just wondering if anyone out there has developed gestational diabetes, both my parents had late onset diabetes and mum developed it while she was pregnant with me so there's a good chance I will as well. I was hoping someone could tell me

Measuring BIG for my dates..

it depends on fluid etc. I always measured ahead but my baby was actually small for her gestation due to high blood pressure. So dont worry.Big babies can also happen, which can be a sign of gestational diabetes. Which is easily sorted. Chill out ,stress

bmi was 43, which put me in the high risk category from day one. i then got gestational diabetes and was told to gut out sugar which was hard. i felt really crap about myself but was determined to avoid the insulin so i really altered my diet

24 weeks

they went on the average birth weight which of course chas changed due to our diet increasing gestational diabetes etc, causing bigger babies. if your consultant were at all concerned he would prob suggest an induction on your due date or maybe 39 weeks

measuring big for dates

that this baby is bigger considering i am trying for a vbac. ive also found out that there are a few reasons why i'm measuring bigger, could be gestational diabetes or that as its my 2nd pregnancy my muscles are looser so just got bigger quicker. trying
