Can a labour be 'too fast'?

hi there,i think everyone is different when they go into labour,but with my first my waters broke at 37wks and lasted 4 -5 hours,im now same again @37 weeks but nothing!i was told with second baby's they go shorter than first but no so with me i get

Anybody had a "normal" delivery a few weeks after havin their appendicts out?

My first baby is due on 25th Sept, I had to have my appendicts out last week and have been told i'll be fine havin a normal labour....i'm still really sore from the operation! Has anybody else had to have theirs out then gone on to have a normal
