labour i had to be induced at 42+3 daysi was a young first time mum aswell 8 am  i was booked in and nicely told you are in early labour they gave me a pessary and said that would speed things along after spending 6 hours on a birthing ball not alot

that in your first pregnancy u are to see the midwife at least 10times?....8weeks - confirm pregnancy and get informations12weeks - booking in appointment & scan16weeks - Check on pregnancy, blood, have blood works done for AFP etc 20weeks - check on pregnancy
