What to buy for your baby's nursery
Confused as to what to buy for your baby's nursery? From a cotbed to sleep in and gorgeous storage, through to flooring and lighting, here are the big buys you'll be considering...
Nursery buy 5 - suitable flooring
If you can't decide whether a wooden or carpeted floor will be best for your baby, it's important to weigh up the pros and cons.
“Carpets on your nursery floor are softer on the knees when your little one starts to crawl, and will be cosy on your feet when you’re up during the night feeding,” says Andrea. However, wooden floors can be a more hygienic option, as it can be easily cleaned with a mop to avoid your baby picking up bits of dirt off the floor when she starts crawling.
Alternately, you can get the best of both worlds by investing in a snuggly rug. This way, you can have the practical wooden floors, plus a dash of colour and warmth. One rug we think is fun is the Hodge Podge rug, £55, from Mamas & Papas.
