Games to make baby bathtime fun
Stop the tears at bath time and bring on the smiles with these easy games your baby will love
Soapy hairdos
Lather up your baby's hair and then sculpt into crazy pointed styles. Make sure you've got a mirror on hand so you can both have a laugh over how silly it looks.
Deep sea diver
This is a fab game if you've got a baby who doesn't like getting water in his or her eyes. Let your baby wear a pair of goggles in the tub and not only will hair washing become fair less stressful, you can hide bits of submerged treasure among the bubbles for your baby to find.
Magic ice monsters
Grab some of your baby's favourite small plastic toys and pop them in plastic cups. Then fill these with water and freeze them overnight. Pop one in the bath and your little one will love to watch as the ice dissolves revealing a magic ice monster.
Group bath
Let your little one choose from his or her favourite (non electric) toys and pop them all in the bath too for your little one to wash them.
Bathtime band
Look around the house and collect random objects and then take them all to the bath to see if they will sink or float. You can even extend it to garden objects, including conkers, sticks and stones (give them a quick wash first though!!).
Mad Hatter's tea party
Get all the plastic crockery from your child's play kitchen (cups, tea pots, cutlery, pans etc) and have a tea party in the bath. It could end up getting quite messy, just iike the real Mad Hatter's tea party.
Baby X Factor
Give your child the shower head and let him or her use it as a microphone while you sing all your favourite songs togther. Who knows, it could unleash your inner diva too.
