Can Lux 1540 reduce stretch marks up to 75%? Try it and see for yourselves...
Sufferers of stretch marks, or ‘silvey striae’ can have their scars dramatically reduced by up to 75%, according to the makers of the brand new Lux1540.
The latest stretch mark therapy from the US is about to make its way to the UK at selected Harley Medical Group clinics and promises to zap away the tell-tale white scars permanently in just four short sessions.
The laser treatment is the first to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and is already widely used in the US for stretch marks, as well as reducing scars, acne and other common skin complaints. It works by creating columns of heat witin the affected area of skin which kick-starts the natural healing process, causing new tissue to grow over the scar.
“I must have been presented with more than a hundred ‘wonder treatments’ for stretch marks but I can say that this is the first that has lived up to the hype,” the chairman of the Harley Medical Group said.
If you are one of the 23 million women who suffer from stretch marks either post-pregnancy, the treatment will sound like music to your ears – but it comes at a price. The Lux1540 laser treatment costs £1,200 for four sessions but with its promises of permanent results and improvement by up to 75%, could it be worth splashing out for?
If not, you may want to try the much more reasonably priced organic rose hip oil, which as we reported last month, did well in recent trials.
